WHERE I COME FROM
Merry-Noella Skaggs and her family have long roots in the district 26 area. Her family has lived in Gasconade County since 1838. Merry currently lives in Pacific, MO. She enjoys spending her free time walking Daisy the dog and walking in the field with Faith the horse. She loves gardening and planting milkweed to help the monarch migration through Missouri.
Why Politics?
I decided that I needed to do something when the Covid vaccine was being mandated at the Hospital, where I worked. My family and I protested at several hospitals in the St. Louis area. We even protested in Jefferson City to oppose vaccine mandates. I was eventually fired from my job at the Hospital for refusing the weekly Covid swab. After much contemplation, I decided to run for the Missouri Senate. There are few Nurses in government and my voice for medical freedom needs representation in the State Government. Nurses that were fired were not eligible to collect unemployment and those that did get unemployment had to fight. Now, Nurses can collect unemployment, but it was a little too late for Nurses like me. Missourians need a Nurse FIGHTING for:
-
medical freedom
-
unemployment for medical professionals and whistle blowers
-
safe staffing in nursing homes and hospitals.
MISSION STATEMENT
Liberty for All, Mandates for None
Health care workers still face the Covid vaccine mandate enforced by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Healthcare workers should not have to choose between their job or medical freedom. If the Supreme Court would have ruled differently, everyone would have been faced with this decision. Now is the time to elect the right Government officials that will be in place and fight for medical freedom.
